About
Hi! I'm Honey...
Just like many other little girls, I grew up with my head in the clouds dreaming about horses. Horses have been my passion and my life line for as long as I can remember, but particularly cow and ranch horses. Though I did some can chasing in my teens, my heart has always been with the working horse.
After my first client trusted me with their filly in 2013, I started dedicating huge portions of my time working with any trainer that would tolerate my presence and endless questions, to learn as much as I could about making good horses. I will forever be grateful for those trainers that put up with me in the beginning! Over the years I've ridden many good horses, started a lot of colts and worked with a lot of trainers. I still get horses from my very first client from over 10 years ago and I continue to improve my skillset and understanding every opportunity I get. At this point in my life, I mostly follow the traditional Vaquero way of training.

In 2020 I started putting together my own herd of mares as I zeroed in on the things I liked and disliked in the horses I trained and started working towards producing my own lines of working American Quarter Horses that meet my standards for mind, build, grit and versatility. In 2022 I was introduced to the Colonial Spanish Horse/Spanish Barb Horse, more specifically the Wilbur-Cruce horse, and fell in love, they epitomize everything I was looking for and believed in. I am now in the process of building a small herd of these critically endangered horses! Be watching for them over the next couple years!

I aim to be the person I needed all through my early years in the equine industry, and welcome and encourage others to grow into the incredible horsemen they can be, regardless of whether you grew up with them or not!
